Helen, Scotland  June 2015
Dear Phil and Lesley;  We’ve had such a great time at lovely Skomer View – fab apartment!  Three glorious walks took us from St Martin’s Haven to Whitesands Bay – what a beautiful coastline.  Weather has been wonderful, apart from a soaking yesterday – a pint in the Cambrian cheered us up.  We hope to come back to this beautiful part of Wales soon

Very clean and well presented apartment with all home comforts and a beautiful sea view from the kitchen/lounge. Great location for walking the coast path and easy access to a variety of outdoor pursuits.

“What a beautiful place. We regularly rent holiday homes and this apartment is up there with the best of them. Thank you Phil and Lesley you should be proud of your apartment and the pleasure it provides your guests. We had 3 wonderful nights and wished it could have been longer. We had some lovely walks which included a round trip to Porthgain, stopping off at the Grove in St Davids for lunch. We arrived back at the apartment with barely half an hour of day light. Phew!! We would love to return soon.”

April 2015 – the Ryalls, Porthcawl
Thank you for a fantastic break in your beautiful apartment.  It’s been a perfect base for us and we have had amazing weather and walks. The kids had a great time.

January 2014 (owner’s comment)
“Eating breakfast and gazing from the window was extra special here at Skomer View, Solva this morning. We sat and watched the seagulls doing their usual dance to draw the worms from the lawn so they could feast too, when a fox appeared looking for his brekkie. It was a rare privilege to see the gulls spot the fox and proceed to mob it. They screamed and screeched as they flew around taking regular hits at the fox’s head. The fox crouched, ears back, snarling at the gulls; jumping and snapping at he air to try to land a hit. A few minutes later it was game, set and match to the gulls; once they deployed their secret weapon. The gulls flew up and aimed their stinky, sticky, poo all over the fox who slunk away looking extremely dejected”

“Words cannot express how wonderful Skomer View is! Everything about it is perfect; location is brilliant for walking the coastal path to St. David’s in one direction and Newgale in the other and of course, dear little Solva. There are also several buses; helpful for the return journey! The apartment itself is beautiful and so well thought out, the views are truly magnificent – what a panorama to wake up to every day. Thank you for sharing this lovely hideaway with so many, we hope to return many times.”

“Wonderful accommodation in a lovely location. We’ve enjoyed some good walks and were thrilled to see seals and their pups (Martins Haven). We recommend the Cambrian and the Bishops for excellent food and service. A must is Solva Mill, high quality local goods. Many thanks”

August 2014 – Williams family, Staffs
We had a wonderful vacation!! Everything was just perfect!!! We plan to come back soon!

August 2014
We found Skomer View to be a great base for our recent holiday in Pembrokeshire.
It has easy access to the main road, but is set back far enough so that you never hear any traffic. In fact the whole apartment was very quiet and we wouldn’t have known we had any neighbours apart from the cars outside. It was wonderful to have the lovely views across the bay while eating breakfast.
The open plan kitchen/lounge is actually better that I imagined from looking at the website photos, when booking (which was a pleasant surprise!).
It is just a short walk to the coast path, from where you can see the cliffs as you walk down to Solva harbour (they do an excellent fish and chips at the harbour cafe). All in all a thoroughly enjoyable holiday.

August 2014
It was worth driving the 1300km from our home in Germany to Solva. The landscape is very fascinating for us and a change from everyday life. The high standard of the apartment made our stay perfect.

July 2014
We had a wonderful 5 days here, the weather was nearly perfect, clearing by lunchtime every day. We had a fantastic experience riding on the beach, my daughter loved it! Hopefully we will be coming back again.

July 2014
Absolutely wonderful, quiet, peaceful weekend warm and sunny. We visited St. Davids and Newgale and Whitesands beach. After a year living in London we found Wales a wonderful antidote. It must be the friendliest place in Britain!

A big thank you for sharing your apartment! Extremely comfortable and well-equipped. The weather was quite varied but that only added to the enjoyment. Loved walking different parts of the coast path. Wonderful scenery!

June 2014
We had a lovely week- some beautiful sunny days. The apartment is very comfortable, we loved the views and location. We had a great time on Skomer Island getting close to hundreds of puffins. Thanks Phil for recommending an early start to ensure we got on the boat.

Dad’s 65th April 2014
We have been amazed by the sunny weather this weekend, we can only think it comes as standard with this sunny apartment! Thanks for giving me the opportunity to bring my parents back to Solva, it’s a special place for us.

Dancing Seagulls – Feb 2014
We have very much enjoyed our say at your lovely apartment, views are second to none,  we can imagine how lovely it would be in summer. The children have been fascinated by the seagulls dancing on the grass for worms. Plenty to see and do and lots of nice places to eat, would love to visit again. We’ve had a great time.

We had a most memorable stay at Skomer View.  Beautiful walks along the coastal path.  Horse riding at Druidston beach at sunset.  Coasteering at St Davids.  Boat ride to Ramsay Island.  Watching the sun set from the garden.  Breathtaking views everywhere you look.  We hope to return one day!
